Hats mania

Karen heeft de mutsjes die ik voor haar haakte ontvangen, dus kan ik eindelijk foto's laten zien van wat ik voor haar gehaakt heb. Ik haakte twee babymutsjes in ruil voor twee stempels, zoals ik hier al schreef. Ik verraste Karen door er nog een grote muts bij te haken, voor haar zelf of om weg te geven.

Karen received the hats I crocheted for her, so I can finely show you some pictures of what I made for her. I crocheted two baby hats in exchange for two stamps, as I already wrote here. I suprised Karen by crocheting another, larger hat, to keep for herself or to give away.

Karen heeft al laten weten dat ze blij is met onze ruil, gelukkig maar! ;-) Ik heb alledrie de mutsen naar eigen inzicht gehaakt, dus zonder patroon. Mocht ik binnenkort weer eens een babymutsje moeten haken dan zal ik proberen het patroon mee te schrijven. *als je belang hebt bij zo'n leuk babymutsje en je hebt iets te ruilen, laat het mij dan gerust weten* Tot later!

Karen already e-mailed me that she is happy with our swap, fortunately! ;-) I crocheted all three hats without a pattern. Swap-swapper-swap

Ik volg veel blogs van creatievelingen uit Nederland en daarbuiten en vaak kom ik via een blog die ik volg weer op een nieuwe blog terecht (iemand die dit herkent?), zo ook op de blog van Karen. Karen is illustrator en maakt supermooie handgemaakte stempels. Zo'n stempel wilde ik ook wel!

Tot mijn blijdschap zag ik dat Karen ruim een jaar geleden gestart was met het project 'van ruilen komt huilen.' Ik mailde Karen dat ik wel iets met haar wilde ruilen en na een korte mailwisseling spraken we af dat ik twee babymutsjes voor haar zou haken, in ruil voor 2 handgemaakte stempels.

I follow a lot of blogs of creative people from the Netherlands and abroad, and I often discover a new blog through a blog I'm already following (anyone recognizing that?), which was also the case with the blog of Karen. Karen is an illustrator and makes beautiful handmade stamps. I would love to have one of those!
To my pleasure I saw that Karen started a project called 'swapping makes you cry' a year ago (this title is based on a Dutch saying). I sent Karen an email to let her know that I would be pleased to swap something with here, and after a short while we agreed that I would crochet two baby hats for her, in exchange for two handmade stamps.

 

Vandaag laat ik alleen zien wat ik van Karen gekregen heb, want mijn pakketje voor haar gaat pas maandag op de post (en het moet wel een verrassing blijven, toch?). Ze maakte twee stempels voor mij, één met een vlaggenlijntje en één met de tekst 'iets-unieks.' Ze voegde er ook nog een notitieboekje aan toe. Ik ben er super blij mee en moet snel op zoek naar stempelkussens in alle kleuren en van een goed formaat :-)

Today I only show you what I received from Karen, because my package for her will only be posted next Monday (and it should stay a surprise, doesn't it?). She made me two stamps, one with a garland and one with the text 'iets-unieks.' She also added a little notebook. I'm very happy with it all and should really look for stamp pads in different colours and of a good size :-)
