De Hollandse en Vlaamse naaisters onder ons herkennen het ontwerp van dit t-shirt misschien als het damesshirt uit Zo Geknipt 2 en dat klopt! Alleen heb ik het patroon voor mijn versie zelf getekend. Daar ga ik dus ook niet veel over zeggen, dat zou niet eerlijk zijn tegenover de schrijfsters van het boek.
The Dutch and Flemisch sewers among us may recogize the design of this t-shirt as the women's shirt from the book Zo Geknipt 2, and they're right! The only thing is that I drew the pattern for my version myself, so I'm not going to tell you a lot about that, since that wouldn't be fair to the writers of the book.
Wat ga ik dan wel vertellen? Dat ik het shirt heb gemaakt uit een superfijne punta di roma, besteld bij Textielstad. En dat het gebruikte garen en de knoopjes precíés dezelfde kleur hebben (wat een toeval!). Het t-shirt was in no-time geknipt en daarna ook redelijk snel in elkaar genaaid, maar toch moest het tornmesje er wel aan te pas komen. Omdat ik een holle rug heb maakte ik het achterpand eerst 4 cm korter dan het voorpand. Aan de achterkant was het t-shirt toen goed qua maat, maar aan de voorkant veel te lang, waarna ik het voorpand weer 2 cm ingekort heb. Een volgende keer zou ik het gehele shirt nog 2 cm korter maken, denk ik. Dan valt het mooier op mijn heupen. Maar voor één van eerste t-shirts die ik zelf genaaid heb ben ik super tevreden!
So what ám I going to tell you? Well, I made the t-shirt from a nice punta di roma fabric, ordered at Textielstad. The yarn and buttons are exactely the same color (such a coincidence!). The t-shirt was cut in no time and also sewn together reasonably quick, yet I had to use the seam ripper anyway. I shortened the back piece by 4 cm in comparison to the front piece, because of my swayback. On the back the t-shirt went well in terms of size then, but the front was too long, so I've shortened te front piece by 2 cm. The next time I would make the whole t-shirt 2 cm shorter, I think. Then it sits better on my hips. But since this is one of the first t-shirts that I've sewn myself, am very happy with it!
